Bio-Lectures. Reflexions de l’entorn natural i rural contemporani arises from the necessity to echo the contemporary reflections that have been generated around the rural world, with the aim of awakening a common social awareness. Specifically conceived and designed for the Espai d’Art Contemporani de Castelló, this exhibition aims to make visible how the growing literary universe has focused on rescuing empty and uninhabited territories from oblivion.
Due to the demographic and geographic characteristics of the province of Castellón, the exhibition is the result of a “sine qua non” reaction from researches and publications on the current natural and rural background. The purpose is to approximate rural to urban environment and establish a dialogue with the visitors with the intention of integrating and making both worlds converge, since Castellón areas are susceptible and propitious, thanks to their location and geographic and climatic condition, for the development of these reflections on Nature, its preservation and understanding.
