The Espai d’art contemporani of Castelló started out on a new phase by presenting a selection of works from the ARCO Foundation Collection, with the intention of exploring contemporary art collections in its various modalities: private, galleries, museums, institutions… as well as reflecting on the history of art collections which, from the 2nd World War to the latest Iraqi War, has not been the same in America or in the old Europe, and much less in Spain, a geographic environment where contemporary art collecting is barely twenty-five years old.
