Other Urban “Natures” Architecture is (Now) Geography

From 26th June to 16th September, 2001

Project curated by Manuel Gausa

This project comprises a number of artistic trajectories highly significant in the framework of recent reflections on the dynamic, complex and definitively hybrid condition of the urban-territorial structures defining our environment today. These trajectories allude to a new understanding of the city and of the territory associated with it, going beyond the paradigms of traditional urbanism. Proposing more than precise and at once open surroundings-architectures, object-architectures, alluding to a new understanding of “place” as a multiple, heterogeneous and plural stage setting and not now as a mere fixed and stabiliz-ed/ing (historical, typological or figurative) context.
